Terms of use

The service

smokinginjapan.com is a free map of smoking areas in Japan with their opening hours and the local street-smoking rules. Using it means accepting these terms.

Information, not legal advice

Rules and places are checked against official sources and dated, but they can change at any time. The official text and the signs on site always prevail. The publisher is not liable for fines, closures or errors.

Adults only, respect local rules

The site is meant for adults aged 20 and over, the legal smoking age in Japan. It aims to help smokers smoke only where it is allowed and to respect local rules; it promotes no tobacco brand or product.

Contributions

Contributions must be honest and about the place only: no personal data about other people, nothing offensive. They may be checked, corrected or removed, and are published as part of the place's information.

Third-party services and law

Directions open Google Maps or Apple Maps, under their own terms. These terms are governed by Spanish law, without prejudice to the rights you have as a consumer where you live.
